Woh !
The base seems to be clikable parts, and the adaptation of 1/48 ground support teams for 1/48 aircraft is really good idea !
Yamato now gives small 1/60 figures with the destroids, it is good complement too but there are not enough
Woh !

Hey guys, thanks for appreciating...
I got to meet Saint Phoenix because he too was curious about how i created those dioramas, those are actually Mechanical Chain Base, originally intended for smaller scale robots (Scale 1/144).. it was mid last year when i thought about the idea of combining few of those to accommodate larger scale mecha's like the 1/48 valkyries.
Too bad, you can only use the base wall and floor, other parts that come by it is waaay out of scale. The crews are from hasegawa, it was a painstaking process building them, since they're a bit tiny, and i suck at modelling!!
By the way, i started another somewhat ambitious project the other week.. I've been planning on scratch building a custom Launch Arm for yamato 1/48 DRYL Valkyries like the one from the movie:
took around a week, before i finished a 1/144 scale scratch build launch arm.. this will only serve as a guide since i intended to make one for a 1/48 Yamato Valkyrie: everything will be basically made from scratch..
hopefully i can get it done before the end of june..

Nicks a écrit :PS: Just for your information Maverick, Rat' and Deisuki are badly and not serious persons... Mr. Green ... But you can trust me 'cause I'm a good boy... Razz
Don't worry Nicks, you can notice I haven't asked for 1/48 valk overflow, I don't do 1/48 valks and know how to keep reasonable
And that's not true I'm not baaad

Really impressive slideshow! Congratulation for this works!
Impressionnant le rendu de ces "Mechanical Chain Base XXX"! On s'y croirait.

I suggest you also try it guys, 6-8 combined chain base would be good enough to house a 1/48 valkyrie, for the Version 2 1/60 VF-1, 6 combined mechanical chain base is good enough.
I am currently trying out something like that of the Anti UN base from Macross Zero, using the latest chain base issues, i will let you guys now once i figured out how to come up with a similir hangar/base.
The only work needed so far would be on the crews, as you have to build them and paint.. the later is really painstaking due to its size.
